Our Mission: City Academy provides pathways for all learners to become contributing citizens.
City Academy was established to meet the growing need for academic programming aimed at young adults seeking a small school with small classes, which would enable them to have productive and meaningful roles within the community. City Academy has been a YOUTHBUILD program since 1993. The school was founded by teachers and designed in cooperation with the students.
The school has been accredited with AdvancED since 1993. City Academy is authorized for grades 7-12. City Academy students are typically between 17 and 21 years of age. All educational and vocational opportunities at City Academy are offered regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, sex or disability - more information available here.
